Peter Lambert makes his Coors Field debut on Tuesday night against the same team -- the Cubs -- that he made his big-league debut against last Thursday at Wrigley Field.
Here's the question that awaits an answer: Who has the edge? Is it Lambert, who was so much in charge in allowing one run on four hits in seven innings, and struck out a Rockies debut-record nine hitters against the Cubs? Or is it the Cubs, who after going 4-for-32 against Lambert in their first look at the young right-hander now have a book on his approach?
Check back later on Tuesday.
The one Cub who was comfortable against Lambert was shortstop Javier Baez, who went 2-for-3 with the Cubs lone RBI in Lambert's debut. Albert Almora and Kris Bryant each had a hit, as well. Quintana, between his time with the White Sox and Rockies, has plenty of familiar faces in the Rockies lineup.
