Zack Greinke gets the call for the Diamondbacks in their bid to sweep the Rockies at Coors Field. Rest assured, Greinke is aware of what can happenwith Trevor Story in the lineup. Story has a career .314 average against Greinke, the seventh highest of an active player with at leastd 30 at-bats. He is one of only eight such players hitting .300.
More than that, he has five home runs in 35 at-bats, tied for the most among active players with former teammate Carlos Gonzalez. Gonzalez, however, has 60 career at-bats against Greinke. Story also has an .800 slugging percentage, tops among active players with at least 30 at-bats.
German Marquez will start for the Rockies against the Diamondbacks. Marquez is 3-0 in his last four starts against the D-backs, and has allowed only three earned runs in 14 innings in two starts he made against them last September.
Greinke comes into the game 3-1 in his last four starts against the Rockies.
Marquez's biggest challenge in the D-backs lineup is David Peralta, who has hit .448 against him, and has two of the four home runs that current D-Backs have hit off Marquez. Jake Lamb and Ketel Marte have one apiece.
