The Giants and Rockies open a four-game series in the City by the Bay on Thursday night. It's been a challenging start for both teams. The Rockies are in last place in the NL West, a half game back of the Giants.

The Rockies have seven members of what was the projected 25-man roster on the disabled list. The Giants are relatively healthy. The only Giants player on the DL is pitcher Johnny Cueto, who is recovering from arm surgery last season.

With Wednesday's postponed game in Denver, the Rockies did not have to activate Jeff Hoffman to start in place of thei injured Tyler Anderson. They will go at the Giants with the four remaning members of their Opening Day rotation.

The Rockies have had recent success against the Giants, winning eight of the last 10 games between the two teams.
