With Wednesday's game postponed, the Rockies decided to skip Jon Gray and will stick with Kyle Freeland on his normal rest Thursday afternoon. The Rockies are looking for Freeland to get consistency with his pitches. The schedule adjustment will put Gray in line to start this weekend against the Padres, and allow the Rockies to avoid adding a fifth starter until as late as May 25 against the Orioles.

The Rockies have three off days in the next two weeks -- Monday, next Thursday and May 20.

The current Giants roster has combined for only three home runs in 122 career at-bats against Freeland -- one each for Buster Posey, Evan Longoria and Kevin Pillar. Longoria is hitting .375 lifetime against Freeland. Nolan Arenado is not only 4-for-10 lifetime against Holland, but he has two home runs and a double among the four hits.
