On Deck: Nationals at Rockies, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

The Rockies open a three-game series against the Nationals on Monday night, having won six of thier last seven games. At 9-13 they are in fourth place in the NL West, five games behind the first-place Dodgers. The Nationals are 10-10, in fourth place in the NL East, 1 1/2 games behind the first-place Phillies. The Rockies are coming off a series with the Phillies in which they won three of four.

The Rockies ostensibly catch a break. They have a three-game series with the Nationals, and neither Stephen Strasburg nor Max Scherzer are scheduled to start. Reliever Sean Dolittle leads the Nationals with three victories.

With Tyler Anderson coming off the disabled list, the Rockies have their rotation in place. First baseman Daniel Murphy is expected to be activated Tuesday.

The Rockies have won seven of the last 10 games between the two teams. and hold a 112-85 all-time edge on the Nationals.
