McGee becomes the third pitcher, fourth player, to be placed on the disabled list already this year. Right-handed pitcher Antonio Senzatela (infected right heel) and left-handed pitcher Chris Rusin (upper back stiffness) opened the season on the injured list,

First baseman Daniel Murphy suffered a broken finger on his left hand diving for a ball on Friday, resulting in him being placed to the injured list on Saturday.
